The Policy Stuff!

Scheduling a lesson:

How scheduling works: We use Calendly.com for booking appointments, this feature allows you to select lesson times that fit your schedule for as far ahead as one month in advance. In general, you will be given a link to our calendar on calendly.com and you will select a lesson or several lessons that suit your schedule. It is recommended that you try and choose the same date and time each week, if available, as there is proof that the regularity puts in place and reinforces good practice habits and promotes progress in your playing. Please be-aware that the same date and time each week may not be possible as it may have been booked. However, you can choose a different date and time each week if that is what you need. You will receive an e-mail confirmation and three reminders for each lesson you schedule.

Lesson Cancellation, Lateness, Rescheduling and Make-up Policy:

To cancel or reschedule your lesson requires at least 24-hour notification. (This prevents last minute cancellations), cancellations and rescheduling can be done on our Calendly.com page. You can cancel a lesson and easily choose another available time if you have adhered to the 24-hour notification policy. Then, Caledndy.com will send you and us an e-mail confirmation. If a lesson is cancelled with the less than the 24-hour required notification period, rescheduling a make-up is not possible and payment for that lesson is forfeited. You will need to book another lesson and make payment for that lesson. If you enter the online lesson late, you may not be able to make up that time at the end without permission from the instructor. (This prevents one lesson overlapping another lesson). If you are not on time, your Instructor will attempt to contact you within ten minutes of the start of your lesson time, if you cannot be reached the lesson will be considered cancelled.

Emergency cancellations:

If an emergency occurs, please notify your instructor directly at the provided contact number or e-mail. A reasonable accommodation will be sought.

School Cancellations:

If your school has unexpectedly cancelled on the same day that your IN STUDIO lesson is scheduled, the IN STUDIO lesson will be rescheduled .

If your school has unexpectedly cancelled on the same day that your ONLINE lesson is scheduled, the ONLINE lesson is still on as scheduled.

As much as reasonably possible we aim to be fair with the cherished community we serve.

If there is abuse by a member of these policies it may lead to loss of a scheduled lesson, forfeiture of payment, or even prohibition from further study with THRIVE drumming.
